Vineyard:
Dealu Mare is the wine producing region that corresponds almost entirely to the Piemonte region, which makes the transition between Curvature Carpathians – Sub Carpathians and the eastern Romanian Plain. The vineyard has deep roots in the history of the region which is called the “ land of red wines”.
Climate / Quality of the soil:
The typical warm, dry microclimate and the rather long autumns favour rich grape crops of good quality. There is a long vegetation time of 210-240 days with a maximum humidity of 55-80%.
The soils are brown-reddish forest with a high content of iron, which is very favourable for the red grapes.
Winemaking process:
Hand harvesting at full maturity; grapes carefully selected
De-stemming
Gently crushed
Short skin maceration in vertical tanks
Filtering
12 months maturation in new barrels
Bottling and labelling; ageing in bottles

Alcohol: 13 %
Total acidity: 5.77 g/L
Resigual sugar: 4.58 g/L
Winemaker comments:
Dark red-purple in colour, the wine displays delicate aromas of berries, vanilla and chocolate, with hints of chilli pepper and green pepper. The fleshy well-structured palate displays rounded, finely textured tannins and lingering flavours.
Food matches:
An ideal accompaniment to barbeques, grilled pork with vegetables, duck, lamb and venison and French cheese.
Drinking temperature:
Best served between 16-18°C
